Clare A. Cox

Clare A. Cox of Bluffton, SC, died peacefully in her home on October 12, 2021. Clare was born August 11, 1937 to the late William & Marian Cox. She was predeceased by her brother, James and sisters Geraldine and Maryann. She was an active member of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church.

Her vocation in life was that of a teacher. After graduating from Good Counsel College in White Plains she taught at Preston High School in the Bronx, NY. She then moved to Connecticut where she taught for 25 years at Newtown High School in Newtown, CT. After retiring she moved south to Charleston, SC before spending the last 23 years in Sun City Hilton Head.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Bluffton, S.C. at 10:30AM on Monday, October 25, 2021  Clare did not want flowers for her funeral and requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Gregory the Great Catholic School, 38 Saint Gregory Drive, Bluffton, SC, 29909.
