Clifford X. Carrignan, Jr.

Carrignan, Clifford X. Jr., April 30, 2013 husband of Muriel St. John Carrignan of Bluffton, SC. Mr. Carrignan, 85 was born in New Haven, CT, son of the late Clifford and Elizabeth Carrignan Sr. He was the father of Clifford Carrignan III of St. Charles IL, Robert Carrignan of Burnet, TX and Kelly Carrignan Arpino of Hamden, CT; brother of Elizabeth Peters of West Haven, CT. Also surviving are seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter, Kathleen (Kim) Carrignan. He was a graduate of West Haven High School Class of 1947. He attended the University of Bridgeport and New Haven College where he studied Architectural Engineering. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Carrignan retired after 44 years of service as a Design Analyst from United Technologies (Pratt & Whitney Aircraft & Sikorseky Aircraft). Mr. Carrignan was a past Secretary of Sun City MGA, former member of the Sun City Modification Committee and a charter member in the Sun City Veterans Association. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Friday, May 3, 2013 at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Rd., Bluffton. The family will receive friends from 5 til 7, Thursday evening at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton.
