Clyde Allen Doerr

Clyde Allen Doerr, 67, husband of Sandra "Sandy" Doerr of Hardeeville, SC died March 15, 2015 at his residence. He was born on April 13, 1947 in Carmi, Illinois the son of the late Franklin and Louise Sauls Doerr. He was a retired US Army veteran serving in Vietnam and was awarded a Silver Star for Heroism. He later worked as a computer systems analyst for Beaufort County's 911 system. He was an Elder at Faith Lutheran Church of Beaufort. He enjoyed traveling and camping in his RV. He is survived by his wife, Sandra "Sandy" Doerr of Hardeeville, SC; 2 sons, Robert F. Doerr (Cherie) of Callahan, Florida and Jeffrey E. Doerr (Angela) of Lake Charles, LA; 1 daughter-in-law, Joyce E. Doerr of Monroe, LA; 1 sister, Judy L. Smith (Jeffrey) of Ladson, SC; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, Clyde Allen Doerr, II and his brother, James F. Doerr. A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm, Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC. The family requests any memorial donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
