Concetta Russo-Alesi (Connie Russo), age 94, of Bluffton, SC died Thursday, September 01, 2016 at NHC-Bluffton. Mrs. Russo-Alesi was born on February 15, 1922 in Noto, Sicily, Italy. She was a lifelong, accomplished seamstress who was greatly recognized for her talents. She also had a love for gardening. Concetta was preceded in death by her husband, Ignazio. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Boyer (Charles) of Bluffton, SC; and sisters, Paulina of Italy and Francesca of Canada. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29909 with inurnment following in the St. Gregory the Great Resurrection Garden. Following the inurnment, a celebration of her life will continue at Caddy’s Pub at the Rose Hill Golf Club. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Capital Campaign.
