Courtney Kawchak

Courtney Kawchak, age 31, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Born on May 27, 1995, she was the cherished daughter of Debbie Kawchak and Steve Kawchak. Courtney touched the lives of everyone she knew with her loving personality and contagious sense of humor. She had a gift for sensing when others were in pain and knew how to comfort them and ease their burden. She observed everything and could always remember the most specific details even from events that occurred years ago. She always brightened up a room when she walked in offering hugs to everyone. She always very proud to show off her latest manicure and nail colors.

Courtney attended PEP school where she learned how to strengthen her many talents. Her favorite hobbies were going out to restaurants, cuddling up to dogs, and all things Disney. She loved to cook, a passion she learned from watching endless cooking shows with her mother from a very young age.

Courtney will be deeply missed by her parents, aunts, uncles and cousins and all of those who looked forward to seeing her at local shops and restaurants. She made a lasting, joyful impression on everyone she met. Her positive spirit and loving example will remain with us forever.

A celebration of Courtney's life will be held on Saturday, September 12 at Sauls Funeral Home at 3:00pm. In honor of Courtney’s love of Disney please feel free to show your Disney spirit!

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to either PEP (Programs For Exceptional People) in Bluffton, SC or Palmetto Animal League.
