Cynthia Boland Nixon

Bluffton, SC — Cynthia Boland Nixon, a resident of Sun City Hilton Head, died Monday the 6th of August at home. Born in 1948 in Boston MA, part of a US Navy family. Cynthia received a Bachelor and Masters Degrees from the University of South Carolina and then taught for 28 years for the SC Public Schools before retiring to Sun City. Cynthia, worked in the classroom for many years and then specialized in reading, instructing teachers on how to effectively teach children to read. Cynthia loved living in Sun City and was blessed by having many friends throughout her life. They were always a priority. She is survived by her husband Scott Nixon, a son Scott Nixon Jr, in Bend OR and her daughter Ginger Mendoza in Evans GA. And, Gingers children Samantha, Diego and Manny Mendoza. Cynthia had asked that we schedule a gathering to celebrate her life. That will be scheduled by the family and updated once the details are available.
