Daisy Smith Hodge

Daisy Smith Hodge, 92, of Bluffton, SC died October 19, 2014 at her home. She was born on September 6, 1922 in Ocean View, Virginia to the late John Wesley and Bessie Elliott Smith. She was retired from the Department of Health and Environmental Control and was a member of the Bluffton United Methodist Church. She is predeceased by her husband, William A. Hodge, her daughter, Nancy Allyn Hodge, her brothers, Richard Smith and Wesley Smith, and sisters Minnie Quales and Charlotte Forbes. She is survived by her son, William A. Hodge, Jr. (Anne) of Ridgeland, SC;, one sister, Jean Cartwright (Eugene) of Chesapeake, Virginia; 2 grandchildren, Jenna Hodge and William A. Hodge, III; and one great grandson, William A. Hodge, IV. A Graveside Service will held at 3pm, Thursday, October 23, 2014 in Bluffton Cemetery, May River Road, Bluffton. A visitation will be held at 1:30 PM in Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton.
