Daniel Martin Mullin

March 20, 1970 — August 24, 2017

Dan passed away peacefully at his parents home in Sun City on Thursday, August 24th surrounded by his family after a ten month struggle with colon cancer. He was 47. Dan was born in NYC and grew up in Orange County, NY and served as a member of the Circleville Volunteer Fire Department. He graduated from Pine Bush High School class of ’88 and The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He was employed at Burke’s Main Street Pharmacy on Hilton Head Island for the past 17 years. Dan worked with the other volunteers at the Sandalwood Community Food Pantry for eight years serving as their treasurer for six years. He also volunteered with the Back Pack Buddies school program. Danny was preceded in death by his uncles, P.J., Tony, Mike, Tommy and Sean Mc Cormack and his cousin Michelle Mc Cormack. He is survived by his daughters Madison Mullin and Ana Mullin of Hilton Head. His parents Ken and Bridie Mullin of Sun City and his sister and her family; Janine, Kevin,Emma and Kate Shevlin of County Louth,Ireland. His aunts and uncles Jane and Charlie Watson of Middletown, NY, Mary and Rich Kelleher of Sun City, Vincent and Roseann Mullin of Whitestone,NY and Dennis and Barbara Mullin of Sun City. His aunts Nellie,Mamie,Mary,Breege and Nuala McCormack. His twenty seven first cousins and his former wife Rebekah Mullin of Hilton Head. Dan loved life on the Island, going to the beach with his girls, golfing,socializing with his friends around his fire pit and watching the Yankees and the Gamecocks. His steady personality earned him the nickname “Diesel”. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Thursday 31st at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Luke’s Memorial Gardens,3080 Okatie Hwy., Bluffton.
