Darrold A. Trueper

Darrold A. Trueper, age 72, of Okatie, SC and formerly of St. Louis, MO died Friday, February 15, 2019 at Hilton Head Hospital.

Mr. Trueper was born on October 21, 1946 in Burlington, IA, the son of the late Hugo and Avis Trueper. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Following his military tenure he began his formal education at Northeast Missouri State Teachers College, now Truman State University where he earned a degree in Political Science. Darrold worked for many years in sporting goods sales. He enjoyed golf and baseball.

Mr. Trueper is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; son, Trenton A. Trueper (Jane); and grandsons, Brody and Andy Trueper.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.
