David Richard Charnigo

David Charnigo, of Hilton Head, South Carolina, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Audrey and Richard Charnigo, his brother, Michael Charnigo, and his cherished daughter, Jenny Marie Ray.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jacqueline Charnigo, and his devoted daughter, Laurie Charnigo Heathcock. Both will carry his memory with pride and unwavering love. David is also survived by his siblings, Marylee and Clay Knight, and Craig Charnigo and husband Byron Conley.

David was the devoted husband of Jacqueline. Their marriage of over five decades was a testament to enduring love, deep friendship, and the kind of partnership that inspires everyone lucky enough to witness it. As a father, David was everything one could hope for: present, supportive, full of humor, and heart.

David lived by example and instilled the values of kindness, hard work, generosity, and faith. He was known for his wit and the gift of laughter he brought to every room.

David has now returned to be with his daughter Jenny in heaven. His presence will be deeply missed. He lived a life well-lived and leaves behind a legacy of love.

A memorial service at the Church of the Cross will be arranged at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society.
