David Daniel Fisher, 76, of Sun City Hilton Head passed away on March 17, 2026, in Charleston, South Carolina. Dave was born on September 13, 1949, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to Joseph and Julia (Fallet) Fisher. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 52 years Linda Kincaid Fisher, daughters Stephanie Fisher and Denise Morrison; son-in-law John Morrison; grandchildren Grayson and Scarlett Morrison; niece Tracie (Dennis) Minor; nephew Douglas Skrout; and great-nephews Ryan (Kelly) Minor and Brandon Minor. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Lorraine Skrout and brother-in-law James Skrout.
Dave proudly served his country in the US Army in the infantry in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was employed for 43 years by AT&T in various technical and managerial positions in the Washington, DC area and Atlanta, Geogia. Due to his loyalty and dedication to AT&T, and his wonderful sense of humor, his co-workers respectfully gave him the nickname “Godfather,” which he embraced.
For 14 years during retirement, Dave kept up with friends and relatives as the administrator of a Fantasy Football League, lovingly named “Time Killers” by his wife. He was an avid fan of all sports, especially football and baseball. He also enjoyed being a member of the Sun City Billiards Club.
David was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, PO Box 2779, Bluffton, SC 29910.
