David Carl Fryman

His job here is done, David Carl Fryman has gone home to be with The Lord. He passed at home surrounded by his loving family in Bluffton, South Carolina on December 24th 2014 at age 68, following a long battle with cancer. Born on 30 August 1946 in Ashland, Ohio to the late Carl Fryman and Grace Crossen Fryman. After his service in the Air Force, he settled in Maryland to raise a family and enjoy a long career at the National Security Agency before retiring to South Carolina. He volunteered his time with the Rotary Club of Sykesville, St. Paul's UMC, Hilton Head Regional Habitat for Humanity, and Bluffton UMC. He was a self professed news junkie and beach lover, known for his perfectly manicured lawn, immaculate cars, and devotion to God and his family. He left his mark on this world and his legacy lives on in his family left to carry on. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 48 years Nancy Reynolds Fryman of Bluffton SC; son Mark (Kerry) Fryman of Woodbine, MD; daughters Dina (Temple) Riehl of Westminster, MD and Jennifer Fryman-Williamson of Marriottsville, MD. He is the proud grandfather of Sgt Michael Fryman USMC, Kaliegh Fryman, Andrew Riehl, Allison Riehl, Amberlyn Williamson, Kaedin Williamson, and Liliana Williamson. He is also survived by brother Chuck Fryman and sisters Joan Kinney, Barbara Savage and Linda Hickey. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Lisa Fryman. He will be remembered as a pillar of strength and integrity. A celebration of his life will be held at Bluffton United Methodist Church on Saturday, 3 January 2015 at 11:00am. On lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Bluffton United Methodist Church Generosity Fund, PO Box 368, Bluffton, SC 29910 or Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, 7 Plantation Park Drive, Bluffton SC 29910. A celebration of his life will be held at Bluffton United Methodist Church on Saturday, 3 January 2015 at 11:00am.
