Dr. David R. Hobbs

Dr. David R. Hobbs, 71, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2008 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center, Hardeeville, SC.He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 20, 1937. He was the son of the late Milford R. and Marjorie Hobbs.He was a Physician who practiced medicine in Ridgeland for many years. He attended Ridgeland Baptist Church. He enjoyed all sports and was a graduate of West Virginia University Medical School. He was an avid Mountaineer fan. He was a US Army veteran.He is survived by his wife, Susan E. Hobbs of Ridgeland, SC; three sons, David R. Hobbs Jr. of Ridgeland, SC, Mac Hobbs of Rock Hill, SC and Danny Hobbs of Morgantown, West Virginia; three step sons, Paul J. Davis of Columbia, SC, Matthew Davis of Jacksonville, NC and Peter J. Davis of Ridgeland, SC; two daughters, Katy (Walter) Young and Holly (Jack) Berry all of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Susan Tollerson of Roanoke, VA and four grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Ridgeland Baptist Church, Ridgeland, SC with burial at 1:30 pm in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations to Ridgeland Baptist Church, P.O.
