David Joseph Steinert

David Joseph Steinert, age 40, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Hamilton, NJ died Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC. David was born on August 12, 1977 in Princeton, NJ. He worked with the United States Postal Service in Hamilton, NJ as a letter carrier for nine years until he moved to Bluffton to care for his grandparents. David was a gentle, caring soul who loved his family, surfing, and traveling. He also had a passion and vast knowledge of sports, music, and movies. David is survived by his mother, Connie Rinko (Andy); father, Joseph Steinert, III (Joan); sister, Cara Gonnello (Larry); stepsister, Tara Meehan (Jason); stepbrother, Jonathan Rinko; nieces, Julia Gonnello and Maggie Bea Meehan; nephews, Matthew and Owen Gonnello; and a host of loving extended family. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to any charity of choice.
