Deneige Doiron Eckstrom

Deneige Doiron Eckstrom, age 94, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Arlington Heights, IL passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Bloom of Bluffton. Mrs. Eckstrom was born on November 14, 1921 in Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of the late Cyrille Doiron and Yvonne Major Doiron. She was an active member of the Arlington Heights Women’s Club, Northwest Associates, Encore and Questors International. She was an avid Start Trek fan and enjoyed bridge, reading, crossword puzzles, Rummikub and Turner Classic Movies. Mrs. Eckstrom was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, John Erick Eckstrom and her daughter, Dawn Rita Cavazos (Mark). She is survived by her son, John Eckstrom, Jr. (Diana) of Arlington Heights; daughters, Janice Stein (Scott) and Jill Eckstrom, all of Bluffton, SC; brother, Richard Dorion (Mary) of Texas; grandchildren, John, Melissa, Katie, Jacqueline, Danielle, and Erick; and great-grandchildren, Ava and Gabriel. A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 A graveside service will take place at 9:00 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2016 at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park, 35667 8 Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48152.
