Dennis Ralph Seitz

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dennis Seitz, age 74 of Beecher, Illinois and Bluffton, South Carolina, on April 11, 2025. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Dennis is survived and will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Karen Seitz (nee Heldt), his two sons Sean (Gina) Hamann and Eric (Katie) Seitz. Dennis will forever be remembered as “papa” by his grandchildren Dylan, Mia, Emmalyn and Ethan.

Dennis is now reunited with his departed parents, Ralph and Dolores Seitz, and his sister, Gale Riegel.

After spending 67 years in Beecher, Illinois, it was his dream to move to a place where it wasn’t cold, where he didn’t have to shovel snow, and enjoyed blue skies, warm temperature, and sunshine. He always said, “the great thing about living here is that you never have to shovel sunshine”.

Dennis and Karen fulfilled their dream of retiring to South Carolina in 2017. If he wasn’t enjoying a round of 18 holes himself, he was working as a starter at Berkeley Hall Club.  Dennis could often be found at the 19th hole following a round of golf making conversation with friends and anyone he crossed paths with.  His quick wit and sense of humor was one of his many wonderful qualities.  His friends and his family were very important to him.

No services will be held at this time.  A celebration of life is planned for later this summer. In lieu of flowers, Dennis would want you to go enjoy a round of golf with family and/or friends.
