Dennis Joseph Spina

Dennis Joseph Spina, 69,of Bluffton, SC died September 14, 2013 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 14, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late Alfred and Elena Ianscoli Spina He was a leader in the global shipping industry, having had delivered the first package on the first day of operations for Federal Express, rising to Executive level as President of Operations North East Region over the course of two decades. His post Federal Express were spent in the Energy and Technology fields during the early years of the internet. His motto for work and home was treat people the way you want to be treated and be yourself. He is survived by his sons and daughter Bryan Spina of High Bridge, NJ; Dennis Spina of Brooklyn NY; and Joani Iselin also of High Bridge NJ. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, October 7, 2013 at The Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun Street, Bluffton.
