Denyse Drawdy St. Martin, 60 years old went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a seven year battle with breast cancer and the damage to her heart from chemo.
Denyse was a strong lady who loved life even with all her health issues. Denyse said she would have a new and healthy body again. Her Lord promised her that.
Denyse was born on September 2, 1963 in Jesup, GA. Her family moved to the Hilton Head/Bluffton area in 1966 to be with her grandparents Lonnie and Margaret Graham. She attended McCracken Elementary and High School. After school she began her career with the Hyatt on Hilton Head in the Food and Beverage area so she could travel with the Hyatt to Vail, CO and Hawaii. Denyse was an mortgage underwriter for 30 years retiring in May 2023.
Denyse is survived by the love of her life, her daughter, Madyson St. Martin of Longwood, FL; her aunts, Anita Blanton, Deanna Cramer, Gwen Cassidy Tilton and Debbie Weinland; uncle, Calvin Graham Jr.; her best friend Christine Remero and her high school friends that she reconnected with in September. She was predeceased by her mother, Carolyn Drawdy Graham and her only brother, Colvin Drawdy; grandparents, Lonnie and Margaret Graham and a uncle, Bobby Graham.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 24, 2024 at St. Luke’s Fellowship Hall, 3080 Okatie Highway, Okatie, SC. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
