Diana MerrittRidgeland, SCDiana G. Proveaux Merritt, 67, widow of E. E. "Tommy" Merritt, passed away May 22, 2010 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC. She was born September 23, 1942 in Ridgeland, SC to the late Heyward Proveaux and Bertha Lowther Proveaux. She was a licensed cosmetologist and a homemaker. She was a member of the Ridgeland Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.She is survived by her son, E. E. Merritt, III of Madison, GA; Diana M. "Dee" (Mark) McNaughton of Yemassee, SC and two grandchildren, Logan Alyssa Hyatt and Kayla Marie McNaughton. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Malphrus and Joyce Marjenhoff.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Ridgeland Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ridgeland, SC with burial in the Great Swamp Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 til 8 pm, Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
