Diane J. Engemann

Diane Johnson Engemann, 69, of Bluffton, South Carolina, passed away peacefully from complications of Alzheimer's disease on Sunday, May 19, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Diane was born in Red Bank, New Jersey, daughter of Edward and Johanna Johnson, growing up with her four brothers, Eric, Mark, Edward, and Chris, as well as her sister, Theresa.

Diane was a longtime native of Middletown, New Jersey, growing up loving both crabbing and cheerleading. She was also an active member as an alumni of Mater Dei High School Class of 1973.

Diane treasured her family more than anything. She was a loving wife to James, and a passionate mother who supported both her sons, Robert and Michael, in every aspect of their lives. She was a dedicated and successful realtor in Monmouth & Ocean Counties for over 35 years.

She is predeceased by her mother Johanna and father Edward, brothers Eric and Edward, and daughter Paige. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, James, two sons Robert (Bridget) and Michael, her siblings, Mark, Theresa, and Chris (Eileen), and three grandchildren, Mary, John, and Brooke, along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Diane’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association https://act.alz.org/
