Diane L. (Moynihan) Tegler

Diane L. Moynihan Tegler, 83, of Bluffton, SC, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving children after a period of declining health following a stroke in June. Born on April 22, 1941, in Syracuse, NY, Diane was the daughter of Daniel and Bernice Moynihan and sister to Katie LaGrange. She graduated from Colonie Central High School in 1959. Diane was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry J. Tegler, with whom she shared many cherished memories. She was the proud mother of her 3 children, Wendy Doerr of Bluffton, SC, Eric (Michelle) Hoff of Clifton Park, NY, and Kristie Hoff of Clifton Park, NY; a devoted grandmother to Kristen, Katelyn, Mitchell, Madison, Whitney, Karlie and Brooke; she also leaves behind a cherished greatgrandson, Henry. Diane had a flair for decorating and a passion for crafts, bringing creativity and beauty to her life. While raising her children, she worked at various retail stores, sharing her warmth and kindness with everyone she met. Diane and Harry lived in Upstate New York and spent their winters in New Smyrna Beach, FL until Harry's passing in 2015. In 2016, Diane relocated to Sun City Hilton Head, where she embraced the milder weather and embarked on a new chapter of her life. She enjoyed the years she lived in South Carolina, making new friends and taking daily walks with her devoted canine companion, Buddy. Diane loved to shop but above all, she enjoyed spending quality time with her loved ones. The family deeply appreciates all the well wishes and support during this difficult time and we find comfort in knowing that she is at peace. A private family service will be held at a later date.
