Dolores Evelyn Cook

Dolores Evelyn Cook passed away at the age of 93 on March 19, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Dolores was born in 1930 and grew up in Newburg, NY.  She graduated from Manhattan State Hospital, as a registered nurse.  She was married to Elwood (Woody) Cook in 1951 and had three children, Denise Cook, Alisa Cook and Richard Cook.  She is survived by her children; grandchildren, Nathan Edward Cinocca and Lindsay Ann LaBelle; a son-in-law Marion (Buddy) Fripp;  brother, Robert Scheplein and nieces and nephew, Nina (Scheplein) McCalla, Lisa Marie (Scheplein) Brooks and Victor Scheplein.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl Scheplein and Ed Scheplein.

Dolores moved to Bluffton, South Carolina in 2000 and has been living on Hilton Head Is, SC since 2015.   She loved God, family and her church. along with traveling our country with her husband, baking, playing cards and enjoying brunch with her girlfriends after church.  She will be very missed.

Service will be held at Island Lutheran Church, 4400 Main Street, HHI, SC, 29926 on April 5th at 11 a.m. with a Celebration of Life afterwards.
