Dominic Anthony Broccoli

Dominic A. Broccoli, 81, of Sun City (Bluffton), SC, recently of Bethel, CT, died peacefully, on December 23, 2008 at home. He was born in Tarrytown, NY on September 25, 1927 and served in WWII in the US Navy. Prior to joining the Department of State, he worked at the United Nations for 4 years. His first posting was to Vietnam, where he served both in the embassy in Saigon and helped open the consulate in Hue. His subsequent posts were Dhahran, USEC Brussels, Taipei, Buenos Aires, Khartoum, Tokyo, Rangoon, New York Reception Center, WACAS Nigeria, Tehran, and Kuala Lumpur. He is survived by his wife, three children and four grandchildren. Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements. (www.saulsfh.com)
