Donald Bishop, 63, of Fripp Island, SC died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his family.He was born on July 2, 1948 in Rutherfordton, NC, the son of the late Gene and Willie Marie Jackson Bishop. He was raised in the Spartanburg, SC area.He was Episcopalian. He enjoyed golf and boating. He was in sales for Carabis, Inc. and has lived on Fripp Island for the last 3 years.He is survived by his wife, Kathleen N. Bishop of Fripp Island, daughters Kristian (Paul) Kaufman, of Myrtle Beach, Lauren (Chad) Chapman of Charleston, SC; sisters Mary Scruggs of Columbus, NC; and two grandchildren, Walker and Grayson Chapman.Memorials may be made to friends of Carolina Hospice, 1110 13th Street, Port Royal, SC 29935.A service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, June 30, 2012, at St. Helena Episcopal Church in Beaufort, SC.
