Donald Martin Christensen, Jr.

Donald M. Christensen, Jr., 64, of Bluffton, SC and originally from Plainfield, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 1 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. He was born and raised in Chicago, attended Lewis College, and took a teaching job at Laraway School, where he remained for his entire career. Don coached volleyball and track at Laraway and wrestling at Joliet East High School. When his children became involved in hockey and track, he volunteered his time to manage the Plainfield hockey team and to coach with the Joliet Sonics summer track program. During his last two years of teaching, he coached with the Plainfield Central girls
