Donald Edward Becker

Donald Edward Becker, 90, died at Sun City, Okatie, SC. Donald died Thursday, August 22, 2013. Donald was born on July 19, 1923, in Akron, OH to George W. Becker and Lorena E. Schwebs Becker. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp in WWII. He received his undergraduate degree in economics and his Masters degree in English from Oberlin College. He retired as an associate professor of management after 29 years with The University of Akron, Ohio. He is survived by Nancy A. Becker, his wife of over 38 years. He was predeceased by Jane Marhofer Becker, the mother of his son, George Larry Becker (Joyce) and daughter, Barbara J. Bell (Bill); five granddaughters and five great-grandchildren; stepson, H. Jeffrey McDonald (Roxanne) and Chris L. McDonald (Pam) and three step grandsons. No memorial service will be held at the deceased request. Sauls Funeral Home, Bluffton, SC is assisting the family.
