Donald "Gene" Eugene Thomas, Jr.

Donald Eugene “Gene” Thomas, Jr., 52, of Early Branch, SC passed away at his home on November 14, 2020.

Gene was born on September 12, 1968 in Fairfax, VA to Donald Eugene Thomas (deceased) and Patricia Bollinger Thomas.

Everyone who knew Gene knew he was a kind person, a loving husband, dad, poppa, brother and friend. He was one of a kind. If you needed something fixed or cooked on the grill he was your guy. He touched many hearts in ways some people will never understand. He was an outdoor enthusiast enjoying fishing, camping and watching the sunrise or staring at his 1977 F100 or should we say his baby, his love for Fords was undeniable. People often said no matter what, he always had something nice to say. He will truly be missed by so many for he has touched a lot of lives.

Survivors:  wife, Terri Ann (Hetherington) Thomas of Early Branch, SC; mother, Patricia Bollinger Thomas of Bluffton, SC; son, Donald Eugene Thomas, III (Victoria) of Richmond Hill, GA; daughters, Tonya Marie Goss (Justin M.) of Early Branch, SC and Summer Nicole Kirby (Michael) of Rincon, GA; sisters, Tamara DeLoach of Hardeeville, SC, Jennifer Burdette of Bluffton, SC and Kris Tina Bowden of West Virginia; brother-in-law, Stephen Hetherington of Early Branch, SC; grandchildren, James Furr, Tristen Adams, Jadon Goss, Lila Kirby, Jaylin Goss, Marc Kirby, Claudia Thomas and Kaleb Nichols.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 10:00 AM until the service time at 11:00 AM.  Visitation & Funeral Service will be held outdoors at Sauls Funeral Home in Ridgeland, SC.
