Donald Earl Howard

Donald Earl Howard, 69 of Bluffton, SC passed away at his home on Saturday, September 12, 2015. Donald was born in Columbus, OH on August 6, 1946. He was the son of Earl Benton and Violet Pilcher Howard. Donald was a graduate of Ohio State in 1968 and served in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970 as 2nd LT. US Army Corps of Engineers. He was a CPA ,Auditor and IT Manager for Columbia Energy Group of Columbus, OH. He was Comptroller of Anderson Communications of Hilton Head Island from 2001 - 2005. He was an avid reader; Ohio State football fan and member of the Westin Health Club and Powerhouse Gym. He was a Protestant. He is survived by his wife, Sue Howard of Bluffton; one son, Kyle David Howard (Andrea Musto) of Columbus, OH; one daughter, Amy Lee Howard Fletcher (Steve) of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Sharon Howard of Dayton, OH and Diana Malesh of Hendersonville, TN; granddaughter, Kassidi Fletcher and nephews, Christopher Malesh and Jason Malesh. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, September 18,2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
