Donald Hult

Donald H. Hult, 82, of Ridgeland, SC passed away October 31, 2022 at his home.

Don was born April 9, 1940 in Kearny, NJ to the late Harry T.

Hult and Gunhild Evelyn Olsen Hult. He received a Master's degree from the University of South Carolina and dedicated his life to teaching and coaching at Thomas Heyward Academy.

Don, affectionately called "Coach," spent a generous amount of time supporting athletes and students alike. He had the ability to remember sports statistics from many years before and shared his vast knowledge of history with all of his students. When not supporting his students and athletes, you could find Don watching his Yankees or listening to sports broadcasting on his radio.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 pm, Wednesday, November 9th, 2022 at Ridgeland Cemetery, Ingram St., Ridgeland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the school he loved, Thomas Heyward Academy, 1727 Malphrus Road Ridgeland, SC 29936.
