Donald Roy Istel Sr., 90 of Canterfield of Bluffton SC formerly of Luck, Wisconsin passed away peacefully January 22, 2025

Preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, parents August and Anna Istel and son in law Alan Larkin.

He is survived by his children; son Donald Istel Jr. (Lorry), Luanne Wogstad (Kurt), Mary Atchley (Stan), and Karen Larkin. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Don was born July 13, 1934, in Almena Wisconsin, in 1955 he married Phyllis and were together just shy of 67 years. They lived in St. Paul while raising a family and eventually moved to White Bear Lake. He retired from Sears in St. Paul and moved back to Wisconsin to the town of Luck.

Don loved taking care of his lawn, gardens, and woodworking.

A private family service will be held this upcoming Spring.
