Donald Eugene Mckelvey

Donald E. McKelvey, 87, died at home July 25, 2012, of cancer after a very lengthy illness. Survived by wife of 64 years, Betty (Matthews) McKelvey, son Col Donald E. McKelvey, Jr., USAF (Ret.) and his wife Col Margaret McKelvey, USAF (Ret.), grandson Donald III of Knoxville, TN and granddaughter Deborah (McKelvey) Sexton and her husband, Dr. Kevin Sexton, and two great grandchildren, Calla and Creed, of Nashville , TN.He was a member of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Ancient Arabic Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, the Second Marine Division Association of Camp Lejeune, NC, the Hilton Head Kiwanis Club, and the Bluffton United Methodist Church.A World War II veteran, Don served with the U. S Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater. He was a long-time volunteer the Veterans
