Donald Robert Tuten

Donald Robert Tuten, 74 of Furman, SC passed away on July 29, 2017 at Hampton County Regional Hospital, Hampton, SC after a brief illness. Mr. Tuten was born in Pineland, SC on August 15, 1942 to the late Donald Charlie Tuten and Gladys Lucille Long Tuten. Mr. Tuten was a Truck Driver for Youmans Farms of Furman; life member and Deacon for the Furman Baptist Church; fire fighter and former Chief of the Furman Volunteer Fire Department; loved to fish and loved his grandchildren. Mr. Tuten is survived by his wife, Grace Bishop Tuten of Furman, SC; his son, Donald Charles ‘Chip’ Tuten (Amanda) of Furman, SC; his sister, Nancy T. Crews (James) of Scotia, SC; grandchildren, Davey Allen Tuten and Alexis Noel Tuten. He was predeceased by his sister, Blanche Rivers and grandchild, Tiffany Amber Tuten. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Furman Baptist Church with burial to follow in Stafford Cemetery, Furman, SC.
