Donna Barney

Donna Barney, age 80 of Hilton Head Island, SC and formerly of Flint, MI died Monday, December 30, 2013. Donna was the daughter of Howard and Lottie Lacy. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband and favorite golf partner, Bertrand Barney; sister, Denna Bruton; and brother-in-law, Ted Karwoski. Surviving are daughters, Denna (Phil) Hartman; Amy (Manuel) Rosa; and son, David (Nancy) Lawrence; her sister, Betty Karwoski and husband Roy Koponen and brother-in-law, Ray Bruton. She is also survived by two step-daughters, Jari (John) Sutton, Jill Poe, and step-son, Jeff Barney. Mrs. Barney was grandmother to 14 children and great-grandmother to 7. Per, Mrs. Barney's request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in June 2014. Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is in charge of arrangements.
