Doreen Paolo

Doreen Paolo, age 68, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Seaside Heights, NJ died Friday, March 18, 2022. Mrs. Paolo was born on December 23, 1953 in Point Pleasant, NJ, the daughter of Richard and Alma Chabok. She was a graduate of Central Regional High School and continued her formal education at Georgian Court College where she earned degrees in special education and elementary education. Doreen worked with Seaside Park Elementary School as a Special Education Teacher, retiring after 17 years of service. While living in New Jersey she was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Outside of work and civic involvement Doreen enjoyed traveling and riding motorcycles along with her husband. She was a member of the Savannah HOG Chapter, and the Red Knights Motorcycle Club.

Mrs. Paolo is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Joseph F. Paolo; son, Joseph M. Paolo (Heather); daughter, Jessica D. Tango (Anthony); siblings, Richard Chabok, Jerilyn Brown, Robert Chabok, and Constance Chabok (Chris); nieces, Samantha Brown, and Casey Utz; nephew, Matt Brown; grandson, Jake Ryan Paolo; and granddaughters, Madeline and Francesca Tango.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910 with a prayer service beginning at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
