Dorothea “Dede” Dunn

Dorothea “Dede” Dunn, age 73, of Bluffton, SC died Monday, January 9, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Dunn was born on October 12, 1943 in Flushing, NY, the daughter of the late Eugene J. Dunn and Rosalie Molloy Dunn. She was a Sister of the Dominican Order in New York and was an elementary school teacher for the Catholic School System. She had a love for computers and started Dunn’s Computer Solutions in Long Island which she continued when she retired to Sun City-Hilton Head, SC. She also taught computer courses at the University of South Carolina-Bluffton and was a member of the Sun City Computer Club.

Mrs. Dunn is survived by her sisters, Patricia Dunn and Kathleen McNamara (John); brother, Thomas Dunn (Mary); eleven nieces and nephews; and nine great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to any animal rescue or humane society of choice.
