Dorothy L. Ahrnsbrak

Dorothy L. Ahrnsbrak 87 of Bluffton, SC and previously of Westminster, MD and widow of Clyde E. Ahrnsbrak, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at National Health Care in Bluffton.She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Joe and Mamie Schmidt Long.She was a retired history teacher and counselor in Carroll County, Maryland. She was a former resident of Sun City Hilton Head and a member of the Lowcountry Presbyterian Church in Bluffton.She is survived by her son, Scot (Darice) Ahrnsbrak of Bluffton; her daughter, Sharon (Bob) Black of Bluffton; sister, Kate Long of Ocean City, Maryland; her grandchildren, Aaron (Yazmin) Black, Jessica Black, Daniel (Laurel) Ahrnsbrak and Rebecca Ahrnsbrak and her great grandchildren, Addison Black, Tyler Winston, Mark Winston and Gabriel Winston.Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm until the hour of the service.The family requests memorial gifts be made in memory of Dorothy L. Ahrnsbrak to the Palmetto Animal League, P.O. Box 539, Bluffton, SC 29910.Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, Maryland at a later date.
