Dorothy Jeanette Cooper

Dorothy Jeanette Heape Cooper, 94, born in Pritchardville, South Carolina, lived a life defined by love, adventure, laughter, and family. She graduated from Andrews High School and began her career as the manager of the Hallmark Card Store at Oglethorpe Mall in Savannah, Georgia. She later worked at the Chatham County Tag Office, where she was known for her dedication and friendly spirit.

As the wife of a military service member, Jeanette embraced the opportunity to make homes around the world, living in Germany, France, and throughout the United States. Wherever life took her, she built lasting friendships and treasured memories.

Jeanette had a joyful outlook on life that never faded with age. She loved spending time with friends, sharing laughter, and making memories with her sisters during beach trips and Lake Murray trivia adventures. She enjoyed exploring on her scooter, and she proudly mastered modern technology well enough to become quite the expert at Facebook shopping. An avid shopper, she was a familiar face at Hamrick's, where she will surely be missed.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Ronald Aleck Cooper Sr., Donald Benjamin Cooper, and Lydia Warren; her sisters, Gloria Ennis and Nora Brabham; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Samuel Heape and Dorothy Camellia Skilling Heape, her son, Michael Anthony Cooper; her brother, Ralph Lorenzo Heape; and her sister, Patricia Ann Rouse.

Jeanette's warmth, humor, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and the joyful memories she leaves behind.
