Dorothy Burtis Griffin

Dorothy B. Griffin, 90, wife of William Edward Griffin, died Saturday, May 3, 2008 in the Coastal Carolina Medical Center, Hardeeville, SC.She was born in East Orange, NJ on May 10, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Seabury J. and Lillian F. Thompson Burtis.She was a homemaker and a loving wife. She attended St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Bluffton, SC and was a member of the Elks Club Auxiliary in Deltona, FL.She is survived by her husband, William E. Griffin of Bluffton, SC; two sons, William Paul (Ann) Griffin of Okatie, SC and Wayne Alan (Kelly) Griffin of Palm Beach, FL and one sister of New Port Richey, FL; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Donald Griffin.The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC at 11:00 am, Monday, May 5, 2008 with burial in the Hillcrest Abbey East, Savannah, GA.
