Dorothy "Dot" J. Walker

Dorothy J "Dot" Walker, 78, of Bluffton and widow of John Lester Walker Jr. passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 at her home in Bluffton. She was born in Meriden, CT on August 22, 1935 to the late George P. and Mary T. Majeski Moshier. She attended Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and former Managing Editor for the Guide News in Port Chester, NY. She is survived by her sons, Patrick Walker (Lisa-Ann) of Massapecqua, NY and John L. Walker (Kathy) of Maryville, TN; her daughter, Sharon Walker of Bluffton and NY; her two grandchildren, John Thomas Walker and Catherine Hannah Walker. She was predeceased by her brother, Stanley Ferenz and her sister, May Ann LaDore. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 25, 2013 at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC. The family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, P.O. Box 3827, Bluffton, SC 29910 or the American Cancer Society.
