Dorothy Faye Weyandt

Dorothy Faye Weyandt (Faye), 81 years old, of Ridgeland, SC went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 following an extended illness.  She was at home surrounded by family when the Lord called her home.

Faye was born November 12, 1938 in Sumter, SC to Ledly Silas Harden and Dorothy Williams Harden, who were called home ahead of her.  She was married to James A. Weyandt (Jim) who survives her, for 61 years 11 months.

Faye was a loving person who would do all she could to help others.  When she was younger and able, she worked with young girls at her church in Beaufort, helped with Wednesday night meals and anything else she could.  She was always lending a hand no matter which church she was a member of.  She was a loving daughter and big sister, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her husband, Faye is survived by her sons, James A. Weyandt, Jr. (Judy) of Beaufort, SC, Ledly A. Weyandt (Dawn) of AZ, and Noah A. Weyandt of Ridgeland, SC; daughters, Dorothy W. Martin (Leonard) of Aiken, SC and Toni M. Roseneau (Randy) of Beaufort, SC.  Her sisters, Fran Davis (Charles) of Sun City, SC; Georgeanna Nawa of Reidsville, NC, Bonnie K. Fargis (Lyn) of NC, and Connie Clark (Jim) of NC, brother-in-law Don Heinen of MN; grandchildren Heather, Sarah, Abbi, Cody, Preston, Mindy, Ledly Jr. and Wesley.  Faye was preceded in death by her sister Debbie Heinen.  She has many great grandchildren.

Due to the current state of the Nation, Faye’s family will plan a family gathering later, date to be determined.

Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is assisting the family with arrangements.
