Douglas Warner

Douglas Warner, 68, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Reading, PA died Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC.

Mr. Warner was born on January 17, 1948 in Reading, PA, the son of the late Sterling Warner and Lois Brown. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked for many years operating bread franchises as a route business owner. He was a member of the Okatie Rotary Club and was a longtime member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Outside of work and civic involvement, he was an avid golfer, bowler, enjoyed boating and travel, and was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mr. Warner was preceded in death by his sisters, Janet Moser and Barb Zerby. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sandra Warner and son, Bret Warner of Hilton Head Island, SC.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. Inurnment will follow at the Beaufort National Cemetery columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association.
