Douglas Howard Wilson, Sr.

Douglas Howard Wilson Sr., 60, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at his home.He was born in Lenoir, NC on December 5, 1948. He was the son of Stanford R. Wilson and the late Louise Anderson Wilson.He was the Director of Security for Indigo Run. He had been the caretaker of Bull Island Plantation for fifteen years and he was a US Army veteran.He is survived by his wife, Susan L. Wilson of Bluffton, SC; his father, Stanford Wilson of Houston, TX; two sons, Douglas H. Wilson Jr. of Ridgeland, SC and Robert Wilson of Havelock, NC; one daughter, Nicole Wilson and her husband, Michael Etheridge of Bluffton, SC; two brothers, Steve Wilson of Arkansas and Ed Wilson of Florida; one sister, Brenda Swails of Montana; and five grandchildren, Haylee Wilson, Monica Coverdale, Taylor Coverdale, Hayden Etheridge and Abby Wilson.Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 21, 2009 in the Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 pm until the hour of the service at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Douglas H.
