Dovie Ann Mcallister Moon Setser

Dovie Ann McAllister Moon Setser, age 71, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Birmingham, AL died Monday, July 8, 2019 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center.

Mrs. Setser was born on January 11, 1948 in Albertville, AL, the daughter of the late Walter G. and Pearl Bond McAllister. She was a graduate of Douglas High School. She continued her formal education at the University of Kentucky and ultimately completed her graduate studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, earning an MBA degree in accounting. She worked for many years with Induron Coatings, Inc. where she retired as Controller and Vice President. Ann enjoyed making jewelry and created a business to share her artisan talents with the community. While living in Bluffton she attended St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.

Mrs. Setser was preceded in death by her brother, Alton Wayne McAllister. She is survived by her husband of 12 years, William Setser; brother, Jimmie McAllister (Deborah); sister-in-law, Nelda Jean McAllister; stepsons, Randolph Setser (Julie) and Bradly Setser (Kelli); step grandchildren, Emily, Erin, Brian, Benjamin, and Elliot; special friend, Pat Moon; and many nieces and nephews.

Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is assisting the family with a private funeral service.
