​Dr. Michael Giannone

Dr. Michael Giannone, 74 of Bluffton, SC passed away on January 4, 2017 at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC.

Dr. Giannone was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 26, 1942 to the late Louis Giannone and Helen Bassolino Giannone. He was a member of the Sun City Italian-American Club; Doctor and Surgeon of Podiatry for 37 years; graduate of New York University; New York College of Podiatric Medicine; practiced in Mt. Kisco, NY and Brewster, NY; member Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity of NY University; member American Podiatric Medical Association; NY State Podiatric Medical Association; American Podiatric Wound Care Association; American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery and Board Certified in Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Giannone was a Catholic.

Dr. Giannone is survived by his wife, Pamela of Bluffton; two sons, Louis Giannone (Seeta) of Venice, FL and Michael Keith Giannone (Mali) of New Fairfield, CT; two daughters, Monica Giannone Von Buxhoeveden (Tyson) of Elmhurst, IL and Corinne Jackson (Morgan) of Niskayuna, NY; three sisters, Elaine Cady of Walnut Creek, CA, Kathryn Hill (Robert) of San Diego, CA, Clare Giannone of Cortes Island, Van Couver, B.C. Canada and grandchildren, Gabriella and Peter Giannone, Michael Crissen Giannone and Liam and Grace Jackson.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Monday, January 9, 2017 at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 St. Gregory Road, Bluffton, SC.
