Paul Kuenstner (81) of Bluffton, SC, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in his home surrounded by his wife Susan, daughter Molli and stepson Joel Hart.
Paul born in Jamaica, NY on December 26, 1933 to the late Walter and Eleanor (Bolly) Kuenstner. Paul was a proud American and also proud of his German-American heritage.
Paul was a retired IBM executive who loved golf, swimming, tennis and anything sports related. He was a graduate of Syracuse University, where he was an Alpha Chi Ro, and Columbia University Graduate School of Business and was a lieutenant commander in the Navy (active and reserve duty) for twenty years. Paul, previously of Boulder, CO, was a long suffering "Buffs" football fan and a passionate fan of all sports. He was a jazz aficionado and loved history, ballroom dancing and dogs, was a voracious reader and very active in his Christian faith and his church.
Paul was involved in community activities and volunteer services including: youth sports, homeless shelter, food bank, Volunteers in Medicine, care for the indigent and the poor and other community needs.
Paul is survived by his wife Susan, daughter Molli, stepsons David and Joel and cousins in Germany
Services are planned for 11AM, Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC 29910. Reception immediately following in the church's parish hall.
