Earl F. SmithBeaufort, SCEarl Floyd Smith, 59, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at his home in Beaufort, SC.Mr. Smith was born in Grays, SC on November 15, 1949 to the late Floyd G. Smith and Bessie Walls Smith. He was employed by the Department of Defense on Parris Island for the last twenty years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and he attended Beaufort Church of God. Mr. Smith enjoyed hunting and was an avid Nascar fan and collector of Nascar memorabilia. He is survived by his son, Tommy (Melissa) Lubold of Ridgeland, SC; three daughters, Kim Ann (Don) Smith of Hampton, SC; Lee Anne Smith (Clayton Hickey) of Sheldon, SC; Amanda (Davilio) Chavez of Beaufort, SC; three sisters, Christine (Billy) Clements of Ridgeland, SC; Patricia Jenkins of Florence, SC; Ruth (Sam) Moore of Columbia, SC; eleven grandchildren, Derrick (Crystal) Smith, Brook Smith, Lance Smith, Thomas Lubold, Kayla Lubold, Quinn Smith, Jayden Hickey, Elijah Hickey, Perry Hickey, Sabrina Chavez and Jeremiah Chavez. He was preceded in death by his son, Nakia Edward Smith, his brother, Arnold Smith and his great granddaughter, Ashton Kelly Smith.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 19, 2009 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland SC with burial in Grimes Cemetery, Grays, SC. A visitation will be held from 6 til 8 pm, Thursday, June 18, 2009 at the funeral home.
