Earl W. Whittle

Earl W. Whittle, 86, passed away March 12, 2020 at home with his wife by his side.  Born in North Adams, Massachusetts to Harold and Lillian Whittle and grew up in Kearny, N.J.  Served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Newark College of Engineering (now New Jersey Institute of Technology).  Married Doris Carleton Whittle in 1956.  He was an IT Manager in Ohio before retiring and moving to Sun City Hilton Head in 1998 where he enjoyed golfing and woodworking.  He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Doris, daughter Lisa (Charles) of Summerville, SC and son David (Lisa) of Knoxville, TN, grandchildren Lauren (Aubrey) and Adam, great grandchildren Neal, Peyton and Charlie.

Internment will be at the Beaufort National Cemetery Columbarium at a later date. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Hospice Care of the Low Country, 7 Plantation Park Dr., Unit 4, Bluffton, SC 29910 or a charity of your choice.
