Edith Hankins Maloney

Edith Hankins Maloney, 83 of Bluffton and wife of James Lawrence Maloney Jr. passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010 in the Coastal Carolina Medical Center, Hardeeville, SC.She was born in Ludlow, KY on January 8, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Sherrel and Mary Knott Hankins.She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Lowcountry Presbyterian Church and a former PTA President.She is survived by her husband, James L. Maloney Jr. of Bluffton; three sons, Thomas E. (Cris) Jahnke of Ohio, James L. (Patti) Maloney III of New Hampshire, and William C. (Timmie) Maloney of Savannah, GA; three daughters, Beth (Jeff) Jenkins of Rincon, GA, Eileen Pears of PA and Dr. Patricia Ann (Bill) Miller of Mississippi; grandchildren, Anitre Payne, Tom Jaroch, Mallorie White, Maranda Jahnke and Matthew Jahnke and several step grandchildren.Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.
