Edna M. Dillon, 88, of Morgantown, WV died Monday, May 16, 2016 in Bluffton, SC. Ms. Dillon was born on August 18, 1927 in Baxter, WV, the daughter of James Oinos and Anna Less Oinos. She was a graduate of WVU and would retire from there as an associate professor. She was an experienced traveller who loved to tell a good story and enjoyed meeting new people. The pinnacle of her teaching career was the five years spent teaching at the American Embassy in Germany which afforded her many opportunities for travel to neighboring countries. She was passionate about education, the environment, politics, family, friends and helping her fellow man. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the League of Women Voters and the Soroptimist Club. Ms. Dillon is survived by her niece, Valerie Head (Larry) and nephews, Phil Oinos (Joan), Michael Bosely (Vikki) and David Oinos and sister in law Katherine Oinos (John) and numerous great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her brothers Peter, James and John Oinos; sister Lorraine Bosely; and a sister in law, Mary Oinos. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 309 Baldwin Street, Morgantown, WV. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Amedisys Hospice in Morgantown, WV.
