Edna (Heyman) Hoffman, 94, died peacefully on March 18, 2016, at Bloom of Bluffton. Born on April 11, 1921, in Jersey City, Edna was predeceased by her loving husband, Irv, to whom she was married for over 70 years. Edna spent the majority of her life in Jersey City, retired with Irv to Del Ray Beach, FL, and moved to Bluffton four years ago. She is survived by her son, Jeff Hoffman (Lucy) of Greenville, SC, daughter Donna Hoffman of Bluffton, SC, grandson Adam Goldberg (Dana) of Hyattsville, MD, and grandson Asher Hoffman of Greenville, SC. Edna was a loving homemaker who devoted her life to her family. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and sense of grace. Her goodness drew people to her as evidenced by her many friends. Life was full of humor with Edna. She had the ability to make us all laugh. She believed that "laughter is the chorus of conversation." Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 25 at 2 PM at Beaufort National Cemetery. A celebration of her life will follow at the home of Donna Hoffman in Bluffton, SC.
